The Saint Teresa of Calcutta Award 2010
2010 – The Saint Teresa of Calcutta Award, formerly known as the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Award
is intended to focus public attention and confer recognition to those who, like Blessed Teresa, have dedicated a significant portion of their lives in the service of the “poorest of the poor” and have served, and shall continue to serve, as an inspirational, living example to the world.
AWARDEE: MO. MARIA N FRACASSO, FDCC
An Italian-born Canossian nun who has been serving impoverished Filipinos since 1962, she established and conducted various programs in education, livelihood, health, evangelization, lay empowerment, and spiritual formation.
